The 25th April marks the day when Australian and New Zealand armed forces joined our allies in an expedition to capture the Gallipoli peninsula. It was officially named Anzac Day in 1916.

Buying products that are 100% Australian owned and 100% Australian made is difficult, as I am sure everyone would agree. It's even more of a challenge when the costs of those Aussie products are quite a bit higher than those of the competition. And let's face it, most of us are trying to save money where we can, so it makes sense to purchase the cheaper alternatives. Or does it?

Should we stop buying goods from foreign-owned companies?I can already hear most of you ...

Are you 100% Aussie? I think we need to first ask, what is an Australian? At the very core, we were the indigenous people of the land. The caretakers of this truly magnificent country we call home.We were convicts. Charged with committing crimes and then shipped here to serve our time. I wonder if they would have done that if they actually knew just how beautiful our country really is?

Australian Made vs Foreign Made... Some people/groups believe and promote the idea that it is best to support foreign made products purchased from Australian owned companies. This is bad advice without a doubt! The reality is that we should be supporting Australian owned and Australian made but, if we are left with no other choice then it is far better to support a foreign owned company that manufactures here in Australia...
