About Bega Cheese

Bega Cheese is located in the beautiful Bega Valley on the south coast of New South Wales. A group of local farmers come together way back in 1899 to form The Bega Co-Operative Creamery Company with the first Bega Cheese’s factory opening in 1900.

By 1960 Bega had expanded to Fyshwick in ACT with the commisioning of a manufacturing facility to process and package raw milk. Further growth saw a new cheese processing and packaging facility open in Ridge Street, Bega in 1997.
